I work with children, adolescents, and families who are navigating big emotions, complex needs, and moments when connection feels hard to reach. My approach is grounded in the belief that behavior is communication, healing happens in relationship, and people do best when they feel safe, seen, and respected.
I am deeply attuned to the emotional and nervous-system needs of children and teens, and I help caregivers make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. Rather than focusing solely on “fixing” behavior, I work to create emotional safety, strengthen connection, and support families in building sustainable, compassionate systems of care at home.
My work is trauma-informed, developmentally precise, and equity-centered. I am especially mindful of invisible labor, power dynamics, and the ways caregivers—particularly mothers—are often overburdened and under-supported. I aim to create a therapeutic space that honors autonomy, consent, and dignity for every member of the family.
In sessions, I blend warmth, clarity, and practical support. I help families translate insight into daily rhythms, routines, and repair practices that actually work in real life. I believe in accountability without shame, structure without rigidity, and growth without self-abandonment.
Above all, I strive to be a steady, attuned presence—someone children feel safe with, adolescents feel respected by, and caregivers feel genuinely supported by. Therapy with me is collaborative, humane, and rooted in the understanding that no one is broken—many people are simply overwhelmed and doing the best they can.

One of Sarah's strengths is her ability to articulate a clear theoretical orientation while remaining open and curious about other perspectives. This balance allows her to work flexibly with a range of clients and clinical challenges.
Sarah's professionalism, maturity, and insight will make her valuable to any site. She is eager to learn, open to feedback, and committed to ethical, evidence-based practice. I recommend her for any practicum or internship placement without reservation.
Sarah distinguished herself through her strong critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to ethical, culturally responsive counseling practice.
