Sarah’s Story

Just eight years ago I was stuck in a relationship where I was abused. Mentally, physically, emotionally, financially, and…When my son was born eight years ago, I woke up. I saw the writing on the wall and I got out. I became a single mom when my son was barely two months old, was finishing my bachelor’s degree, and worked two jobs. I knew I had trauma and buried it. When my son was two going on three, I left a toxic work environment, started my business and addressed my son’s needs for therapy support (he is autistic) and poured every part of me into survival.

By the time my son was five I had a six-figure income, a fully supportive team for him and his needs, and I was unknowingly hustling myself and into physical and mental illness.  In 2019 after having met my now-partner, the cracks I had been sealing for years began to fall apart. My trauma was breaking through and I was slowly slipping into chronic illness.
